FLOYD MAYWEATHER returns to the scene of a tougher than expected outing when he gives Marcos Maidana a rematch in the same Las Vegas MGM Grand where the Argentine lost a spirited 12-round decision in May.

The sequel, named ‘Mayhem’, will take place on September 13, and will be co-promoted by Golden Boy – despite Floyd’s buddy Richard Schaefer’s departure – and Mayweather Promotions.

Two months ago, huge underdog Maidana roughed up 37-year-old Mayweather, landed plenty of punches, and did enough on one judge’s card to earn a draw. But the other two judges, rightly most thought, scored Floyd a comfortable winner.

Part Two was in the works while the credits rolled on the original, with the unbeaten world welterweight champion promising to give Maidana another chance after the slugger complained about losing the decision.

SHOWTIME will televise in the US, but there have been no details about the undercard.
