When and why did you start boxing?

I was 8 years old when I started boxing. My dad was one of the head coaches in Kingsheath ABC and he brought me and my brother Paddy down and I haven’t stopped since.

Favourite all-time fighter?

GGG, love his style and toughness.

Best fight you’ve seen?

GGG VS Canelo fight I.

Gennady Golovkin

Personal career highlight so far?

Getting my first stoppage win and making it a great comeback from back-to-back draws.

Toughest opponent?

Vasif Mamedov. Very tough fighter.

Best and worst attributes as a boxer?

My best is I have a great jab and can turn it into a great left hook. Worst is I will stand and fight instead of moving when I’m supposed to.

Training tip?

Stay consistent.

Favourite meal and restaurant?

Restaurant: Horse shoe in Kenmare.

Meal: chicken burger (with BBQ sauce).

Best friend in boxing?

My brother Paddy #PrettyBoy Walsh.

Which other athlete would you like to be?

GGG.

Who would play you in a film of your life?

Tom Hardy.

One thing you would change about professional boxing?

The wrong decisions and early stoppages.

Have you ever been starstruck?

Not yet.

When was the last time you cried and why?

After my second draw I just felt like all the hard work wasn’t paying off and I had a moment to myself after the fight in the hotel room.

Tell us something not many people know about you?

I’m dyslexic and have dysgraphia and I love BBQ sauce.
